I would like to extend thoughts and prayers to the Fearbry Family and The Members of Thankful Baptist Church. I was greatly saddened when my aunt, who is a member of Thankful received the phone call. I have followed the ministry of Pastor Fearbry since he was at Happy Home and I can truly say that he was an awesome man of God. He was very supportive of the youth and treated my son with kindness, support and utmost respect when he was worship leader for one of the youth programs at Thankful. He will be sadly missed but I know heaven is rejoicing for a life well lived and a job well done. I extend condolences on behalf of my Church Family, Disciples of Christ in Hardeeville, SC and my Pastors, Apostle Darrell and Prophetess Tonia Brooks.

To the Fearbry and Thankful Baptist Church Family:
As I reflect upon my spiritual growth while attending Thankful for many years, I can attribute my increase in faith and desire to advance the Kingdom of God to "Daddy"- Pastor Fearbry. He not only loved his immediate family but his church family. Daddy spent quality time with us-"Hangin with the Pastor", those dinners immediately after church (smile) and his availablity to pray with and counsel us. Those moments will be forever cherished!
If the body of Christ was emotionally or physically hurt, Pastor joined with us in prayer and encouraged us to lay at the feet of Jesus. It is at this time that we do just that, "To lay at the feet of Jesus", tell him all about our troubles, and our grief....and trust him to handle it.
With Love,.....Pastor please tell Granny that it is well with my soul....

Dearest Friend,
Words alone cannot express our sympathy on the untimely death of your beloved husband, father, brother and friend. To say that his time with us was far too short is an understatement. The reality is that he will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew him.
No doubt the outpouring of sympathy you have received since his parting has been of some consolation. Hopefully it will serve as a reminder to you of how well-loved and liked he was.
I hope that you and your family will find peace and comfort in knowing that his suffering is over and that his just rewards await him.

Crossing the Bar
Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me!
And may there be no moaning of the bar,
When I put out to sea,
But such a tide as moving seems asleep,
Too full for sound and foam,
When that which drew from out the boundless deep
Turns again home.
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark!
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I embark;
For tho' from out our bourne of Time and Place
The flood may bear me far,
I hope to see my Pilot face to face
When I have crost the bar.

The measure of a man is never rally seen until he leaves this place called Earth. It is then that God reveals to us what a gift we really had. Too many times, we have given live flowers after one is unable to appreciate them. I am glad that God showed me to give my Pastor his flowers when he was able to smell them.
Words cannot describe the man who was our undershepherd. It is thru his physical assistance that I learned so much about the word of God while enjoying the process. Without a doubt, we have lost a great orator, expounder and teacher of the word of God. Let us not fear though.
God in His devine providence saw fit to take my Pastor. I bless God for He knows and He cares. I may never again hear his voice with my ears, but I will always hear him in my heart. I may never again see him with my eyes, but the memories are indelibly written in my mind. I may never be able to call or converse with him verbally, but I will still hear his words of encouragement and wisdom.
As we look to the future, let us never forget that Pastor Fearbry is a part of our history. However, he would tell us that history is really about HIS Story.
May God's grace shower our church family as only He can. Let us grow in His grace and bind ever closer together. If nothing else, let us be mindful of the proverbs of Solomon 3:5-6 and "Trust in the Lord with all our heart and lean not unto our own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct our paths."
Rest my Pastor, rest. God Speed

To Sis Fearbry and Family,
I know that your heart is heavy at this time, for I feel incomplete as well, but if we continue to look to God for strength, He will give us the courage to move forward as Pastor Fearbry would want us to do.
