George was a good friend and a heck of a sailor. He asked good questions. I would have liked to walk the Camino de Santiago with George. I’m sure he would have liked Spanish vino tinto.

I just found out George passed away. It is a shame we did to get to see each other before he died.

I had the pleasure of being one of Dr. Cox's many students at Ga. Southern University. He was a genuine scholar and a true gentleman. Decades later, I am unable to read or hear the name Robert Putnam without thinking of Dr. Cox. I am saddened by his death, but I am unsurprised to learn that he spent his final years in service to others.

Requiescat in pace.
