Gregory Federowicz Obituary

Dr. Gregory Joseph Federowicz - SAVANNAH - Dr. Gregory Joseph Federowicz of Savannah, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on May 5, 2013 at the age of 46 years. The seventh of nine children, Greg was born in Binghamton, New York, on September 26, 1966, to Dr. Thomas E. and Jeanne Therese Federowicz. A member of the high school soccer championship team, he graduated from Vestal High School in 1984 and received a degree in Business and Economics from Lehigh University in 1988, and subsequently completed Post-Baccalaureate studies at the University of Pennsylvania. He then attended medical school at SUNY Syracuse, graduating Magna Cum Laude and as member in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society in 1995. Greg will always be remembered as a humorous, up-beat, easy-going, hospitable and generous husband, son, brother, and friend. His children were his world and he theirs. Luke 12:25 Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life ? 26 Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?

Greg Fed seemed to embody this passage. A dear friend and mentor who shall be missed. He is in a better place.

We are all so saddened to hear of Greg's passing. We have loved your whole family all these years ever since our childhood together on Lauderdale Drive. We are praying for the Lord's all-sufficient, sovereign, and sustaining grace to hold you all in His tender care. He is faithful, especially at those times when life seems so senseless. May you find the wisdom and the love of Christ sufficient for your every need. God's best to you all always.

I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Federowicz for several years at Memorial. He was always polite, well spoken, patient and kind. The shock of this is still settling in and as God welcomes him into Heaven I know he will also be comforting those that are left behind. God bless and keep this family strong.
