So, I decided to look up an old friend today. I am totally shocked and so greatly distraught. I met Heather in Honduras while we were both in the Army. She was the life of any party that is for certain. Her smile was infectious and her personality was even larger. She went to Hunter and I went to Benning. When I retired from the Army I gave a speech and I mentioned some of the most influential people in my 26 year tenure who truly made lasting impressions on me. Heather was one of those people. I did tell her once about why she impressed me. She was fiercely loyal to her friends and would never take crap from anyone. She got out of the Army and I knew she had three girls. I lost track afterwards and I went on to enjoy a good career. She was a part of that success. Her actions, so may years ago insured that. Saddens me to know that she is no longer in this world. I will pray for her daughters, who are now young women. I will pray that they remember their mom as the spunky, always got your six, person she was. Jeff, I do not know you, but I can bet you are a strong man that she must have loved. I will pray for your health and happiness too. I truly wish I could say more about her but my heart hurts. I am very saddened and so shocked to hear of her passing. Heather was such a wonderful young lady and we had gotten close over the 4 yrs we known each other. Our thoughts and prayers are with the girls and the family. May the Lord comfort and keep each of you..She will be greatly missed by many family and friends. Heather, Its so hard to believe you are gone. You led your life the way you wanted and never let anything stand in the way of you goals and dreams. If more of us could be as care free what an amazing life we would lead :) I'm so thankful we were able to reconnect on Facebook all those years ago and able to meet for one last night out when you were home. Also I'm so glad we were able to talk the last few months and be each others shoulder to cry on. I know that although you may not be able to answer me I can still talk to you and you will hear me. I love you girl and will miss you. </3

Heather I just can't believe you are gone..I remember all of those fun summer days at Tybee! All of us and the girls..we always had so much fun together! I remember when you joined the army and I'm just so proud of you and all your accomplishments with it!!
