Catherine Virginia Eubanks Riddle-Weiser
November 23, 2005
Richard and I grew up together having fun every time our families got together. My mother, Virginia Exley Eubanks, loved Richard like her own son.
When he came to live with my parents around 1961-62, Richard and I became even closer. When I came home on weekends from college, we would go play Rook with my brother, Grady, and his wife, Betsy. We laughed so much.
Even though we had not seen each other for years, I thought of Richard very, very often. When I watch Roger Federer play tennis, he so reminds me of Richard when he was that age.
Richard will still be in my thoughts. I am glad that he is now with his mother again. This time they will have an eternity to know each other.
