John DiBiasi Obituary

DiBIASI, JOHN B. John B. DiBiasi, 93, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2014, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 16, 1920, in Hartford, CT to the late Joseph and Anna (Fazioli) DiBiasi. He was the loving husband of Pauline (Colavecchio) DiBiasi for 65 years. He graduated from St. Anthony’s School, Gilbert High School and Bryant College. John enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, where he proudly served in China, Burma and the India Theater, leaving as a Sgt. He then worked for 57 years with the family business, Capitol Products, retiring as Vice President. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Church and a lifetime member of the Winsted Lodge of Elks. He was an avid reader, enjoyed music and singing, and loved playing the organ. In addition to his wife, Pauline, he is survived by his children, John DiBiasi (Carol) of AZ, Anne Lippincott (Jeff) of New Hartford and Nancy Gersky (Joe) of NH; and seven grandchildren, Jeffrey, John, Christopher, Catherine, Daniel, Joshua and A.J. He was predeceased by a sister, Carmela (DiBiasi) Amenta. Friends may call on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 922 Main Street, Winsted from 5 to 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014, at St. Joseph’s Church, Winsted, at 11 a.m. with Military Honors following. Burial will be held in the spring.
