Mary Seibold

Mary "Nana" Seibold, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, after a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of the late John H. Seibold, with whom she shared 39 wonderful years of marriage. Born on February 21, 1943, in Brooklyn, New York, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Mary Arnold.

Mary cherished her time with family and friends, never missing an opportunity for a late-night laugh, a dance to a favorite song, or a glass of wine with extra ice. She created countless memories around Sunday family dinners and holiday gatherings, especially Thanksgiving, where her cooking brought everyone together. She was especially known for her famous meatballs, which she lovingly prepared for her family and friends-whom she held so dear. Her family will forever cherish the moments spent together.

In 1977, Mary and John moved from Long Island to Riverton, Connecticut, with their three children. There, Mary built a career in customer service at Pitney Bowes, where she formed many lifelong friendships. Together, they laid the foundation of a close-knit family, many of whom remain in the local community today.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathleen Lippincott and her husband, Wayne, of Barkhamsted; her cherished grandchildren, Ryan Seibold and his wife, Caitlin, of Barkhamsted; Sarah Kosinski and her husband, Josh, of Myrtle Beach; Bobby Lippincott of Glastonbury; Johnny Lippincott of Barkhamsted; and Mackenzie Knavenshue and her husband, Cody, of Charlotte, NC. She also leaves four great-grandchildren, Owen and Liam Seibold, and Emma and Ian Kosinski; her sister, Ginny Judge of Wall, New Jersey; as well as many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her two sons, Kevin and Tommy Seibold; her grandson, Josh Seibold; and her sister, Pat Arnold.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Karla for her kindness and care over the past six years.

Friends may call on Friday, April 10, 2026, at Montano-Shea Funeral Home, 299 Main Street, Winsted, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Winsted. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
