David LaCasse Obituary
David LaCasse, 84, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 after a long illness. Born May 16, 1941 in East Hartland; the son of the late Marshall and Margaret (Finley) LaCasse.
David worked at Emhart Manufacturing in Bloomfield for many years. He also was a great cook and worked at Knoxtrail Inn in Otis, MA and Pappy's and Bill's Snack Bars in Barkhamsted, CT.
David loved playing cards, going to the the Casinos and enjoying a coffee with a cigarette relaxing in his recliner. He also enjoyed hanging out and socializing with family and friends. He loved German Shepherds and owned many throughout his life.
David was greatly loved by his family and friends and will be forever in their hearts.
He is survived by his siblings, Margaret "Peggy" Coon and husband Leon of Winsted, Nancy LaCasse of Winsted, Jack LaCasse of Winsted and Ronald LaCasse and wife Penny of East Hartland; stepson, Todd Wilcox and wife Sophie of Torrington; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by siblings, Carole Stadler, Linda LaCasse, Peter LaCasse, James LaCasse, Richard LaCasse, Marshall LaCasse, Jr., Thomas LaCasse and Marina Kitteridge; and his partner Harold "Jimmy" Wilcox.
