John Hagan Obituary

Pembroke - John Sheppard Hagan, 85, died Thursday, June 19, 2003. Mr. Hagan was a long time resident of Pembroke, moving here from Wildwood, FL. He served in the Army in World War II, and retired from CSX Railroad where he worked as a Conductor and Baggage Master. He was also a former employee of Morrison Funeral Home where he served the families of this community for over 20 years. He was a member of the Bay District Hunting Club, a former member of the Lyons Club, and was an avid gardener and fisherman. He was a member of Pembroke Christian Church and was a former Deacon. Survivors: his loving wife of 66 years, Neta Bazemore Hagan; one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Gary Jeffcoat of Wildwood, FL; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Donald and Nancy Hagan of Rincon, Robert Terrell Hagan of Pembroke, and Dwayne and Christine Hagan of Pembroke; two sisters, Leona Greco of Pembroke and Sarah Fowler of Winter Haven, FL; two brothers, Harry Hagan of Pembroke and Joseph Hagan of Savannah; seven grandchildren, Brian Sheppard Hagan, Alan T. Hagan, Neta Pope, Dawn Hagan, De Hagan, Rachel Hagan, and Eric Jeffcoat; three great-grandchildren, Emily Pope, Robert Pope, and Katie Hagan. Visitation: 6:00-8:00 Friday at the funeral home. Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Elder Mike Newman and Reverend Dan Bryant officiating. Burial: Northside Cemetery. Remembrances: Hospice of Savannah.
