Elder Jonathan Warnock - SAVANNAH - Funeral service for Elder Jonathan Warnock will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Living Hope Community Fellowship Church, led by Pastor Joyce Hall, The Rev. Dr. Raphael G. Warnock, Senior Pastor of Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, GA, Eulogist. Visitation: 6-8 p.m., Monday at Bible and Prayer Ministries, led by Pastor Verlene Warnock. Elder Warnock will lie in state at Living Hope on Tuesday at 9 a.m. Interment: Beaufort National Cemetery. To My Warnock Family...

When we lose someone we love, it seems that time stands still. What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more word, one more touch, we may not understand why you left this earth so soon, or why you left before we were ready to say good-bye, but little by little, we begin to remember not just that you died, but that you lived. And that your life gave us memories too beautiful to forget.

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered "come to me." With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, we could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best.

We loved you dearly, but God loved you best. Your last question to me was "Where is Carol?" I could not tell you, and little did I know you were going to be with her this soon.
