Alma Juanita Roberson - WEST PALM BEACH, FL - Juanita Roberson, 55, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at her home in West Palm Beach, Florida under the care of Hospice of Palm Beach. Juanita was born on September 1, 1959 in Augusta, Georgia to the late Earnest and Inell Roberson. She spent her early years in Wayne County and was a 1977 graduate of Wayne County High School. After graduation, Juanita moved to Waycross for many years where she attained a nursing degree before moving to West Palm Beach in 1986. She worked as a nurse at Columbia Hospital for several years before taking a position at the VA Medical Center in West Palm Beach where she worked for over twenty years. In her spare time Juanita loved traveling and dearly loved to take cruises. Aunt Neet, as she was known by her nieces and nephews will always be fondly remembered for her love of life and family and for the way she lived life to the fullest. In addition to her parents, her husband, Simon Speedy and her two nephews, Johnny Roberson and Harold Roberson, Jr. preceded her in death. Survivors include her five siblings and their spouses, Wesley Roberson of Screven, Richard and Joyce Roberson of Port Arthur, TX, Sherbia and Gordon Rozier of Darien, GA, Billy and Barbara Roberson of Jesup, GA and Harold and Theresa Roberson of Cold Water, MS; eight nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members also survive. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Howard & Jones Funeral Home with Rev. Calvin Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be family.
