Larry M. Roberts, age 74, of Pooler passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021.
Mr. Roberts was born on August 10, 1946 in Savannah, GA, the son of the late Lillian Woollard Roberts and Oscar Roberts. He was a 1964 graduate of Savannah High School. He retired after 28 years with the Portage, IN Township school system and served for 33 years as a Reserve Police Officer with the Portage Police Department. He was a member of the F.O.E. and the American Legion, Post #184.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Michael Roberts. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Cynthia Marie Roberts; children, Christopher William Connelly (Christina) and their children Jonathan Vlamos, Kaymen Woodall, and Kiara of Valporaiso, IN, Stacy Roberts Hoefflicker (Roger) and their children Brandon Allen, Nicole Renee, and Ryan Edward of Grovertown, IN, Russell Wayne Roberts (Tatiana Zambrano) of Charlotte, NC, and Sean Patrik Roberts (Shiann Clemans) and their child Rowan Patrik of Winamac, IN; sister, Linda Roberts Combs of Savannah, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 14, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with burial following at Bonaventure Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to The Historic Savannah Theatre.
