Ligia de Quiroz Obituary
St. George, Utah Ð Ligia Inciarte de Quiroz, age 74, passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2004 at Dixie Regional Medical Center in St. George, Utah. She was born March 25, 1930 in Maracaibo, Venezuela, a daughter of Gabriel and Ana Margarita Inciarte Ocando. She married Nerio Quiroz Emonett in Maracaibo, Venezuela in December of 1956. He passed away July 17, 1991.
Ligia was raised with Christian principles and, as Nephi, she was born of goodly parents. She was the oldest daughter of 13 children, and because her mother passed away while the children were young, she acted as the mother of her brothers and sisters. She worked in an oil company, called Shell, and helped to support her family financially.
She and Nerio had four children. They were baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in October of 1972, and remained active and faithful until her death. She held different positions and callings in the Church. She literally was one of the pioneers in Venezuela and served 10 years as a Relief Society President and helped many people. She was an instrument in the hands of God to perform miracles. She served others until her death. She lived a beautiful life.
Surviving family include her: children, Rene (Iris) Quiroz, of Maracaibo, Venezuela, Estela Quiroz, of St. George, UT, Euro (Emelida) Quiroz, of Orem, UT, and Ligia (Clayton) Hughes, of St. George, UT; five grandchildren, Gabriela, Rene Michel, Brenda MaZanita, Eudonerio Gabriel, and Renata Natasha; and siblings, Jesus Inciarte, Eduardo Inciarte, Alberto Inciarte, Ruth Maria Inciarte, Lida Inciarte, Rufina Inciarte, Magaly Inciarte, and Elsa Inciarte. She was preceded in death by her: husband, Nerio; brothers, Jorge Inciarte, Jesus E. Inciarte (who died as a child), David Inciarte, and Eduardo A. Inciarte (who died as a child); and her parents, Gabriel and Ana Margarita.
