I didn't know Lisa personally but she taught my daughter in high school. She used to come home from school and talk about how great of a teacher and a person she was. Just remember to keep the wonderful memories of Lisa alive and know that she will be looking down on all of you. Remember God takes the good ones and I will be praying for the whole family.

She was my Algebra teacher in high school. She was a sweet woman with a beautiful smile. Always so soft spoken and yet she got her point across. She will be missed greatly. I pray for her family and friends and that the grief of losing such a wonderful person eases a little bit more for everyone every day.

I had the pleasure of being one of Mrs. Thomas' students and can honestly say that she was one of the best people that i have ever met. She always went that extra step to make sure that your memories of high school were good ones. She touched me in a way that i will always hold dear in my heart. My prayers are with her family.

Mrs. Thomas was one of my teachers in high school. She was wonderful!! When many of my teachers judged me for being pregnant,she didn't. I am truly blessed to have known Lisa Thomas. Not only did she teach me math for several years, she taught me that a smile and a little compassion can go along way. She is one of very few teachers that touched my heart. I wanted to be a better student and a better person because of her. There are not enough words in any language that could sum up Lisa's life. She was an extraordinary person who will be missed for many, many years to come. My heart and prayers are with her and her family. May you find the strength you need to carry on, and the will to keep her memory alive.

I had Mrs. Thomas for 2/4 of my maths and she was my advisor all four years of high school (c/o 2002). She was truly the most kind and patient person that i ever knew. The news of her passing has hurt me deeply. Screven County lost a very good teacher and she can never be replaced. If only all teachers were like her, students would succeed more than they do today. She cared so much about her students..more than any other teacher that i have ever had. I am hurting for her family. I will be praying for them especially for her husband and four young children. She loved them very much! To the whole family I will be praying for you all and keeping you in my thoughts.

Words could never begin to express the sadness that I know each of you must feel from this tragic loss. You can certainly feel proud of how Lisa touched the lives of everyone who knew her, as evidenced by the responses in this guest book. I've known Lisa for many years, and I never remember seeing her without a smile on her face. She was a beautiful person both inside and out. Lisa always seemed so happy, and was the perfect example of a Christian wife and mother that we should all strive to be. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all of you as you go through this difficult time. I hope that you will find some comfort in knowing the postive role model that she was for all who knew her and the wonderful example that she set for those people that she met during her life.

I remember when I had Ms. Thomas for math. I had a hard time with math and alot of students in my class. No matter what though she always seemed to have a comforting aura about her and she made you feel welcomed in her classroom. I know there was never another teacher that when you walked by her or him , that you could sense how at peace they were with their spirituality. Its hard as a student to realise that teachers are real people until something like this happens unfortunatly. We should remember that our teachers are real people..and they have real families, real worries, real problems, but most of all real love and a real life. May god bless this family and her friends. She will be deeply missed. However, she has won the race, and is now rewarded in heaven.

Ms. Lisa was my math teacher in 1997. Math was never my strong point but she was always willing to help me, even if it meant staying after school to get me ready for an upcoming test. My daughter, Megan, was in Lisa's class this year. Megan described to her father and I how caring and patient Lisa was with her students. She was always quick to help them and encouraged them to do their best. She will be sorely missed by the students at SCHS.
She was a great mom, a caring friend, and a devoted Christian, whom I know gave so much to our community.
Thank you, Lisa, for setting an example of God's love to everyone around you. It just does'nt seem real,I still just dont believe it, I looked at pictures all day yesterday when we were little girls having a tea party, and remmembered when we wrecked granpas lawn mower into his grape vine, scared to death to go tell, I just cant believe it, but I know God does things for reasons that sometimes we can not understand, Lisa was a very good person and will be GREATLY missed.I looked at her and always was proud because she acomplished so much in her life giving everything she had to everything she accomplished, her family with 4 beautiful children, her work in which she obviously gave a lot of her time, and her love for God and her church in which she also devoted a lot of time too. I only wish I could be the person she was!!! She led a model life that anyone who knew her or did'nt know her would be proud of!
