Lisa Thornberry Obituary

Lisa Anne Thornberry - SAVANNAH - Lisa Anne Thornberry was born in Savannah on August 4, 1967 and passed away peacefully on November 8, 2015 at Hospice Savannah following a long illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill F. Thornberry. Lisa was born and raised here in Savannah and was a graduate of Savannah Country Day School. Following graduation, she attended The University of Georgia, Armstrong State University and The Technical Culinary Institute. She is survived by her mother, Anne Thornberry of Savannah; an uncle, aunts and several cousins, and her loyal companion, Paul Gaugham. Plans for a Memorial Service are incomplete at this time and will be announced at a later date. I will never forget Lisa. I knew her in my late teens in Savannah and she was a huge influence. One of the craziest things that ever happened to me was running into her on a subway platform in New York. What are the odds? I have been missing her for a long time. XOX
