TO THE FAMILY OF REV. McGEE, Rev. McGEE AND YOUR MOTHER "MISS VERA" ARRIVED AS OUR INTERIM PASTOR AT MAYE RIVER BAPTIST CHURCH, BLUFFTON, SC ON OCT 11, 1982. WE CAME TO LOVE BOTH OF THEM IMMEDIATELY. WHEN WE CALLED A PASTOR FULL TIME AS HE FELT HE COULD NOT SERVE IN THIS CAPACITY, HE WROTE "I FONDLY REMEMBER THE HAPPINNESS AND LOVE THAT WE SHARED TOGETHER AT MAYE RIVER AS I HAD THE OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE LORD WITH YOU. MAY GOD CONTINUE TO BLESS YOU IN HIS SERVICE." WE WERE FORTUNATE TO HAVE HIM WITH US AT HOMECOMING APRIL 2004. MAYE RIVER WAS VERY FORTUNATE THAT GOD SENT THEM TO US. AT AT TIME, WE NEEDED SOMEONE WITH THEIR LOVE AND WISDOM. MAY GOD BE WITH ALL OF YOU AT THIS TIME AND KNOW THAT HE AND "MISS" VERA ARE NOW UNITED.

SINCERELY,

BETTY TIBBS, HISTORIAN, MAYE RIVER

Brother Lonnie, was a great blessing to our family when my husband's parents Rev. Tim Lewis, Lanie Lewis passed away. Also when their son Gene Lewis passed away.

Thank God for the life that Bro.

Lonnie lived and his love for his

Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

My prayer is that God will wrap his arms around the family and hold them close to his heart.

What an awesome, godly man my Poppy was and what an amazing legacy he has left all of us kids. I pray that everyone will take a look at your own life and consider what people will say when you are no longer on this earth. God Bless and we covet your prayers!

I shall always remember Mr. McGee and his kindness when I worked with him in my first job under Mr. Carl Hager at the Savannah Recreation Department. He has surely been accepted to heaven and with out a doubt has a seat at the Right Hand of God.

Thank you and God Bless you Mr. McGee !
