Luch Pierson was such an amazing lady! I am so glad I was able to make her acquaintance when I lived in Vidalia. The first time I met her, she was helping out with costume changes for the women in the "My Fair Lady" cast at the Franklinia. She remained in the tiny dressing room throughout every performance waiting for us to come rushing in needing her help for a quick change. I had already heard of her as "Lady of the Year", and I could hardly believe someone so prominent in the community would be willing to take on such a humble task. But further acquaintance showed me that was just the kind of Lady she was, and I hope I am profiting from her example.

"Miss Lucy", as we all affectionately called her, was a bright light shining at Meadows Regional Medical Center. I met her many years ago when I started to work there. She was always so very kind to me and called me "Sandy". She gave me her Fudge recipe (which is the best in the world!) and told me exactly how to make it to turn out perfectly each time. She always treated everyone with kindness and love. We will all miss her very much. We know she is in a far greater place though! Our prayers go out to your family. This world has lost a special lady.

So sorry about the loss of your mother/grandmother. Lucy was a dear friend to me and to the community and hospital. I had the pleasure of working with her for several years as the Coordinator of Volunteers at Meadows Regional. She will be sorely missed.
