Dr. McKenna was my advisor at Georgia Southern. He was kind and very supportive. Years later, I had the pleasure of working with him when our district received the Reading First grant. He was still the Dr. McKenna that I'd grown to respect and admire in college. RIP Dr. McKenna.

Mike was my best friend in Boy Scout Troop 13 in Joplin, Missouri, in the early 1960s, where we shared many wonderful adventures. We had just re-established contact by email in October, and I was looking forward someday to meeting his family and seeing him again in person when the terrible news came. Now we shall have to hold that reunion elsewhere.
Godspeed, my dear friend and brother in Christ, and may God bless and support your family and grant them peace.
