Kay and Peter we were saddened to here of the death of Dr. Scardino. I have only met Dr. Scardino once, but have heard many great tales of his Hopkins days and many contributions to the AUA. We will honor his memory at Brady Grand Rounds this week.

Dear Mrs. Scardino:
You and Dr. Scardino were so gracious and welcoming to me when I attended a Baylor urological meeting at Hilton Head as Peter's admin assistant several years ago. I believe that all of your children and grandchildren have been blessed to have you and Dr. Scardino in their lives. It takes some time to fill the gaps created by the loss of a spouse, but my hope is that you will be OK and less lonely each day. My very best to you and your family. Sincerely, Judy Robinson

Dear Kay and family. I am so saddened at the passing of Dr. Scardino. I spent 6 1/2 years as his secretary in the old Habersham Street office, wonderful years. I had the greatest respect and admiration for him, and for you all as well. There have been very few days, especially in recent months, that I have not thought of Dr. Scardino and of you. I wish I had known in time to come to Savannah to pay my respects and say good-bye, but I have many fond memories, photographs, newspaper articles, MAG items, all to remind me what an exceptional person he was. My thoughts are with you.

My parents, Joseph and Louise Hearne, always spoke of Dr. Scardino in the most respectful way. I remember that in the 40s and 50s growing up in Savannah. There were few people, as I recall, that they praised in such a way. I was so very sad last evening when I saw Dr. Scardino's Obituary online here in NYC. I send my deepest sympathy to the entire Scardino family. I know it gives you great comfort to know he was respected by so many people and that he did so much good in his lifetime. You are in my prayers.
