Robert Jordan Obituary

Loganville - Robert E. Jordan, 82, died Thursday, February 3, 2005. Mr. Jordan was a member of First Baptist Church of Grayson and former member of Bull Street Baptist Church, Savannah, Stone Mountain First Baptist, and Glenwood Hills Baptist. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Stone Mountain and had retired from National Service Industries in 1989 with 30 years of service. He was preceded in death by his son Andrew Bennett Jordan in 1971, parents, George and Marie Jordan and sister, Olive J. Brown. Survivors include his wife, Miriam Weaver Jordan; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Donna Jordan, Loganville; brother, George W. Jordan, Jr, Connecticut; granddaughter, Renee Lynn Jordan, Loganville; several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Friday, February 4, 2005 at Tim Stewart Funeral Home, 670 Tom Brewer Road, Loganville, GA. 30052, 770-466-1544. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Loganvil le Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Parrish officiating. Honorary pallbearers: The Steadfast Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church of Grayson. Graveside service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2005 at Turkey Branch Methodist Church Cemetery, Springfield, GA., with Rev. Meredith Cavin and Rev. Frankie Hodges officiating. I knew Robert when we we in the immediate dept. in sunday school at Bull St.Baptist Church. He was a fine fellow and a friend of mine.
