Mr. Priestley was my favorite teacher at Groves. I was in Bag Pipes from 1967 till I graduated in 1970. He was the most wonderful person you could have ever known.
My prayers go out to the family in there time of loss.
May God comfort you all in the days, months and years ahead.

Mr. P...was a really nice guy, and I have many fond "band memories"...the countless hrs of practice for the half time shows, the march to the stadium on Friday nights, and Mr. P yelling out "SOOOUTHH!!!"....God speed..Mr. P.

Mr. Preistly taught me how to tie a necktie. It was part of my Bagpiper uniform and I could not tie it...so he taught me, " Wrap one, two, under through"...I never forgot, and I taught my husband and my son, the same way Mr. Preistly taught me. I remember those endless afternoons of practice for the half time shows on the schools field...the marches to the stadium, and the wonderful half time shows....then, when he would yell out, "SOOUTH!!" and the band would play what I think was his favorite ( because he always smiled so big when the band played it!)....Mr. Presitly was a really good guy, and he made so many positive impacts on so many kids that passed his way...we are better people for having known him.
God bless Mr. Preistly.

Mrs. Priestley, Robbie, and Rusty,
I have such fond memories of "Mr. P"drilling us with the afternoon band practices and all of the grueling hours he would put in to do the thing that he loved.
I was with him his last year at Groves with the band and enjoyed doing Alumni Band with him. That always seemed to be more fun than the "have to" band!
We all have such fond memories of Mr. P. and those times will always be cherished to know that we were a part of his "J" club.
May the Lord look down upon his family and help you through this transition. My thoughts are with you.
May God Bless you all.

Mrs. Priestley, Robbie, Rusty, & Family,
Please accept my condolences on Mr. Priestley's passing. His influence on me was profound and long-lasting. I was in his beginning band class at Pooler Elementary School nearly 40 years ago and today I teach high school chorus, guitar, and piano in Houston, TX while maintaining a singing and conducting career. The french horn he gave me from the Groves High Band Camps is still displayed prominently in my music room trophy case. Thank you both for teaching me and inspiring so many young people to professional careers.
Prayers and Peace,
Steve Kujawa, M.M.

Mrs. Priestley, Rob and Rus-
I'm sorry to hear of Mr. Priestley's passing.
I was a Groves Rebels band member when he was there for the last 2 years at Groves and was introduced to music by him in the 5th grade. I owe a lot to him. He inspired me and many others.
His sense of humor was one of the many things I will remember most about him. He could also be stern when he had to, but it always seemed he had a twinkle in his eye.
I hope you will find comfort in the fact that he touched so many lives in so many positive ways
He was a good man.
