Robert Paul "Little Dottie" Williams Sr.

Robert Paul "Little Dottie" Williams, Sr. passed away Monday, March 22, 2004 at St. Mary's Hospital in Richmond, VA. He was a native of Savannah, GA, and lived in Richmond for 16 years. He was a former member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Savannah where he sung in the choir. After moving to Richmond, he became a member of Trinity Church. He attended Tompkins High School. He was preceded in death by his father, Samuel G. Williams, a sister, Deloris Eason, and a brother, Joseph Williams. Survivors are: wife, Alice Virginia Williams of Richmond, VA, daughters, Cynthia (Kent) Polite of Savannah, GA, Addie Inez Williams of Savannah, Virginia (Gregory) Peden of New York City, Tina D. Williams of Richmond, VA, Teresa D. Williams of Richmond, VA, and April Williams of Columbia , SC; sons, Jimmy (Crystal) Williams of East Orange, NJ, and Robert Paul, Jr. (Dawn) Williams of Richmond, VA; mother alma R. John son of New York City; three brothers, Jerome (Betty) Williams of Savannah, Thomas Robinson of Alexandria, VA and James (Eva Jean) Thacker of Savannah, GA; sister-in-law, Goldie Williams of Savannah; brother-in-law, Johnny Eason of Savannah, GA; 21 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2004 at Second Arnold Baptist Church. The Rev. Richard Hall, officiating. Interment: East Savannah Cemetery.
