I remember Sara from when we lived in McDonough and attended McDonough Presbyterian Church there. She even taught me and my sister Vicki Sunday Day school at the old church on the square. Sara was always positive, kind and personable. Rest in peace.

In reading thru the comments that have been made here, it is easy to see why Sara Ann was so loved by so many. She certainly had a life well lived. That’s not a bad legacy to leave behind. Sara Ann, you inspired many, and you will be missed.

My My Precious Sara Ann! You were so sweet and kind to Lee and I when we attended McDonough Presbyterian Church in the early to mid 1990’s. We always sat close in the same section at church and enjoyed visiting when we saw you and Russell and Mrs. Sarah Carmichael every Sunday. Our friendship continued long distance after we moved to Lake Oconee and then to Athens. Say hello to my sweet Lee when you see him. This is his first Christmas in Heaven with Jesus too. We love you! I will see you again someday. Love, Lee & Sue Lance

As a small boy I sat next to Sara Ann one day in Church. As the Pastor prayed, she said to me: "I look up during prayer and not down." To this day, I still do and often think of her. So many fun and great great times with this matriarch. But her kindness to our Mother, will never be forgotton. To Holly & Rusty and family...we pray for your Peace.
