Sue, what wonderful memories we had was those days that we had during the last week at the hospital. it was a miracle that it worked out for you and i. It was those last 8 days and nights when we relived those 58 years of a beautiful friendship.
From the time our husbands were working together as Army cooks at Fort Jackson we got to know each other over much coffee. When they were home we' d play rummy and other games We were also pregnent, remember, and how we laughed when I set my coffee cup & saucer on belly, it would rock when the baby moved. We were also sure (Ronnie) would be born with peanut butter and crackers in his hands.
Then Herb got stationed in Germany and Ricardich ard followed close behind at Wurzburg. You and Cindy were the first to follow and I came a couple months later. It wasn't long before we resumed cards & coffee.
To make a long story shorter, we were able to resome our travel visits now and visit (El Paso, New York & Florida) by now we had Ron & Sharron with your Jeff & Cindy. The memory trail continues to stateside homes in retirement, We now had added my Joe. There were numerous yearly visits. Then Richard had a accident with serious injuries. When I called you, you said "we'll be there!".
After Richard died from Agent Orange, I married Davis (Butch) Yaun and you were beside me as a bridesmaid. Over the last 10 years, your trip to our farm in Soperton for berry picking were always returned for those special shrimp or barbecue feast in Flemming. Thanks for a lifetime of memories. Well see you soon. You just made Heaven a better place and left earth blessed one in your short stay.

We are missing Sue at church services but so thankful she is no longer hurting. She had a great sense of humor and we always enjoyed teasing one another before we shared a hug.

I remember going to visit her as a child. Though I was very young I can specifically remember her turning off the television or putting down what she was reading as I walked through her door. I can still feel how important she made me feel by listening to my thoughts, ideas, and emotions about life. But what I remember most is that she was there the day I publicly announced I had given my heart to Jesus. I asked my mother to find this picture because I was just sure she was in it. After studying this blurry cell phone picture of a Polaroid shot, I just sort of assumed that she was in a dark shirt in the upper left corner. But I just looked a little closer and there she is in the reflection of the glass in the baptismal pool. Of course there she is with the camera taking a picture of the most precious event of my lifetime at Fleming Baptist church. There she is being who she was; always finding a way to make me feel important and encouraged. I like to believe just a hint of her generous, sweet and thoughtful ways had an effect on my life in a way that I can't help but carry out the same behavior towards the children I am privileged to be in the presence of. Traits that come from the fruit of the spirit of Love that shined through her during some of the darkest times of my life and gave me comfort even though she had no idea of the daily trouble I was facing. I am so grateful I made it a point to send her a hand written letter expressing this to her many years ago. I am even more grateful to know for certain she is with our Savior rejoicing in his presence and no doubt sitting with Great Granny Rowland (her mother) as they both are unable to hold back their laughter, because I never remember a time of being with either one of them that they didn't always find something to get tickled over. LOVE YOU Aunt Sue. You finally get to see the real angels and sing along with them. I know your smile will be one of the first I see to welcome me to join you in glory
