My Dear Becky, Jamie and Cody this probably is the hardest thing you ever had to face. I know how you must feel, but know that the Lord is right by your side and his host of Angels in the form of friends
are right here for you. Tony was a great guy always with a smile on his face whenever he walked into the park doors. His chuckle and smily ways will always be remembered. Keep your hands in God hand and he will guide you through every day. May God forever keep his arms around you and your family.
My prayers are with you everyday.

Dear Becky & Family,
As I was reading Tony's guest book I saw so many familar names from our school years. It brought to mind so many good memories of the days when we were in grammer school at Port Wentworth Elementary. Tony was always full of life and fun. And in all the years we went to school up to graduation from Groves he never changed at all. You and your children have been very blessed as we all have to have had Tony in our lives. This tragedy has affected so many and therefore Tony has touched even more lives. I have been praying that God brings you the comfort that only His loving arms can bring. Please know that myself and my whole family are with you guys in this. As has been shown in the past 2 weeks we as a community stand strong together and there are so many prayers being lifted up for all of you. May you find some peace in knowing that others care so very much. Hold tight to your wonderful memories and know that as tough as it is right now God will heal your pain.

To my extended Imperial Sugar Family, The Thomas'. I first met Tony when he was scheduling production, over 7 years ago. I got married a year later and he always commented that I was the girl that changed her last name, "your Presson not Smith". Which always made me laugh and say you have a good memory. He had a lot of confidence in me, and I appreciate it every day. God Bless you all.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep
I am a thousand winds that blow
I am the diamond glints on snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain
When you awaken
in the mornings hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there. I did not die.

Thomas Family, as a former employee of SFI corporate I mostly worked with the folks in purchasing. I did however get assigned to a IT project that involved Tony and Donald Fawcett. While Donald was giving me a hard time, Tony would always come to my rescue. I enjoyed his humor and can still hear his laughter after all these years. He was one of the nicest people that I have ever worked with. While we have lost a great person, heaven has gained an angel. May God's peace be with your family and your faith sustain you over the coming days and months.

February 20, 2008

I don't know your family but my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Our Father in Heaven, I come to you I the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son and I ask you to help this family cope with the loss of their loved one. Father, the circumstances surrounding his passing are hard to comprehend, it’s just such an incredible shock and is hard to comprehend. No one expected anything so awful to happen so suddenly. We don’t know what is ahead each day on earth but we do know what is ahead for those who believe in You. Father, I ask you to help this family feel as if they are babies being held in your arms and that you are holding each one of them. Through the shock, trauma, pain and disbelief, help them remember that You still sit on the throne. Help them remember that you so greatly loved their loved one that you gave your only Son. Father, in time, please give this family acceptance, but for today and the days ahead, I ask you to give them hope and give them the will to go forward and to find peace in you. I praise you and thank you for the years the family members had with their loved one. I praise you that they have made it through these days after this tragedy. I ask you to help them through the days and months and years ahead.

Amen

Becky, Jamie and Cody,
Our Prayers and thoughts are with you in this time of sorrow Just know that God is with you and your family Trust in the Lord. He has prepared a Place for all who beleive in him. In our Fathers House there are many rooms. Jesus is the way and the truth and the life. The Bible says to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. Now is your time to grief But know that when Tony sees the Lord he will rejoice and No one will take away from that joy I pray that Peace be with you

Your Friend in Christ

God of all consolation,in your unending love and mercy for us,
you turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life.
Show compassion to your people in this time of sorrow.
Be our refuge and our strength to lift us from the darkness of this grief to peace and joy in your presence.
We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen

Cody,

My deepest sympathies and heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family.

My mother taught at Groves High School when your parents were dating and always speaks about how cute a couple they were.

Then my father worked at the sugar refinery for years and knew your dad through that.

Forever acknowledging your Dad's sense of humor, my father always tells me the story about when your dad offered a ride to some workers...then took them through a car wash!

Keep the memories alive and take care always. If y'all need anything at all, don't hesitate to call on the Mizelles.

Becky,
Although I didn't know your husband, he had to be a wonderful man. You were always a breath of fresh air when I would walk through your department at Gulfstream. You would always take the time to share a brief conversation and a smile! Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this time.

Becky & Family,

I can't help but remember hugging you the night of the explosion and telling you I would keep you and you're family in my thoughts and prayers. I walked away with hope the next time I saw you we could have shared good news. My heart goes out to you during this time. I will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
