My deepest sympathies to the Harris and Hamilton families. I remember Vincent as a Sunday School child and later in life as a family man. I can see him now always sitting on the same side of the church with his wife and children, Bible in hand. He was so kind to me during the illness of my mother at Memorial. He always made sure I got to my car safely and along the way he would give a word of encouragement and maybe a bible verse or two. I hope that others will know of his kindness.

To the Hamilton and Harris,

Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. Proverbs 3:5

Vincent and I were talking just the other day about Frankie, what a shock it was to both of us her passing. Now he's gone, again I'm shocked. Vincent was kind and always had a smile. He talked about his family, especially his kids. I will miss him and our talks, but I know he's in s better place.

I have know Vincent since his high school years. He will truly be missed. When we last spoke in June 2005 realizing the only great change noted by me was how he spoke about the Lord and HIS FAMILY. Vincent was a person always with a smile and always having something good to say. If you needed a smile having a conversation with Vincent granted you a smile. I will truly miss him. My prayers are with the family and stay before the Lord.

An Old Friend who considered Vincent to be Family

September 16, 2005

Keisha and family,

My heart is deeply saddened by the loss of Vincent. It seems like just yesterday when we were trying to get you two married! I can't believe Vincent is gone. I can't imagine going to Memorial and not seeing Vincent's smile and hearing his voice. This comes as such a shock to all who knew him.

Vincent's hard work and determination to be a good father and husband will be remembered by all and especially to those who have known him for the many many years that I have known him.

Joy comes in the morning, his joy has come. I pray that the family will soon see their joy.

This was a good and decent man who worked hard, struggled long, adored his children, and was a supportive, caring friend. He spoke plainly, smiled broadly, and sought to better understand his fellow man.

Vincent never shied away from hard work or responsibility. He's earned his rest and the comfort of a heart at peace.

Vincent made a difference on this earth, touching lives with much grace, and little fanfare. He will be missed.

Macella Baker

September 15, 2005

I can remember the first day I met Vincent I was working at Campbells cleaners and I was having a bad day , Vincent came in and he had this contagious smile on his face and I could'nt help but to smile. He was a sweet person. We would talk from time to time but he never changed . Kecia he often mentioned you and how proud he was to have his son. When I saw him a few weeks ago no one could have ever told me that was the last smile I would ever recieve from my friend. But I will keep that smile in my memory. To the family I know words can't ease your pain right now but the bible says count it all joy for weeping only endure for the night But JOY cometh in the morning. When you cry let them be tears of joy for you have two things no one can take from you and that is the love of God to help you through this and the memories that will keep you smiling when you think of him . Rest on my friend we all love you but God loves you best.
