Walter N. Nedriga

Walter N. Nedriga, passed away on February 22, 2018 at the age of 77 surrounded by family and friends. Walt was the ultimate self-made man. His parents, Lidia and Nicholas Nedriga, came to the United States from war-torn Eastern Europe in 1947 and settled in Buffalo, NY. Upon graduation from High School, Walt attended the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, NY and the University New York at Buffalo. In 1967 Walter established IDSI Products, Inc. with business partner David Hershey. The decision was made in 1977 to move the business to Savannah, GA, where it has grown and prospered. Walt's drive and business instincts helped IDSI Products become a major competitor in the composites industry.

Walt was a man of many passions, talents and interests. In business, he was an entrepreneur, inventor, investor, fierce competitor and mentor. Outside the workplace, he was a boating enthusiast, fisherman, traveler, family man, neighbor and friend. He will be sorely missed, and may he rest in peace.

Walter is survived by his three sons: George (Renee) in Winston-Salem, NC, Michael (Sherry) in Garner, NC, and Charles (Amy) in Savannah, GA; three granddaughters Lindsay, Madison and Anna Grace; former wife Helen Alexov; longtime companion Luba Zhybaj; and sister Elizabeth (Kyrill) Borissow, of MD.

A public viewing will be held at Fox and Weeks on Hodgson Memorial Drive on Saturday, February 24th from 4-6 pm. There will be a private family funeral service, followed by a burial at Greenwich Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to your favorite charity.
