Linda Kathleen Wildes, 76, of Winter, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on October 21, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 2, 1949, in Quincy, Illinois, Linda was the beloved wife of Brad Wildes for 45 years. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. She was the proud mother of her son, Tanner, and the adoring grandmother of Marshall and Mitchell, who brought endless joy and light to her life.
A brilliant and determined woman, Linda earned her master's degree in mathematical engineering and devoted her career to We Energies in Milwaukee, where she worked for more than 30 years. She was a lifelong Green Bay Packers fan who celebrated every holiday with zest. She loved a good fish fry and old fashion, fishing, turkey hunting, gardening, and tapping maple trees at the Sugar Bush. She had a deep affection for animals-especially the many dogs he had throughout her lifetime and chickens.
Linda grew up in Quincy, Illinois, and cherished time spent with family both there and in Texas. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, her kindness, and her ability to make everyone around her feel loved and appreciated. She was a bright light-fun, generous, and deeply devoted to her family and friends.
Linda and Brad lived in Cedarburg, Wisconsin, for more than 30 years before retiring to Winter, where she embraced the quiet beauty of the Northwoods. She had a lifelong passion for exploring the world. She traveled far and wide with her high school friends and other close companions, creating memories filled with laughter, curiosity, and joy. Among her dearest friends was Billie, who was more like a sister than a friend-someone with whom she shared an unbreakable bond and countless cherished moments.
Linda is survived by her loving husband, Brad; her son, Tanner and her two grandsons, Marshall and Mitchell, of Slinger, Wisconsin. She is also survived by many dear friends and extended family members who will miss her deeply. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella Kathleen and Harold Ellis (Spivey), and other loved ones who surely welcomed her home with open arms.
Her legacy of love, laughter, and strength will continue to shine in the hearts of all who were fortunate to know her.
