With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Megan Alissa Mell of Deland, Florida, who passed away peacefully on April 10, 2025, at a hospital in Orange City, Florida, surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous and lengthy battle with cancer. She was 32 years young.
Born on March 21, 1993, in Park Falls, Wisconsin, Megan brought light and love into the world from the very beginning. Megan grew up in Hayward, Wisconsin where she attended Hayward High School and later made her home in Rhinelander, Wisconsin, before embarking on a new chapter in Florida, with her beloved partner, Andrew Miller.
Megan's life was defined by the deep and unwavering love she held for her four cherished children: Lyla, Freya, Alice, and Levi. They were the center of her universe, and she poured her heart and soul into nurturing and guiding them.
Megan was preceded in death by her father, Brian Mell of Hayward, Wisconsin. She is survived by her devoted partner, Andrew Miller; her loving mother, Joann, her sisters, DJ and Courtney; her adored niece, Darya; and her nephews, Kole and Dylan. Megan is also survived by many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
Megan took great pride in her dedicated career at RaceTrac convenience stores in Florida as a General Manager where she was loved and respected by fellow employees and staff.
Megan's many interests included crafting, sewing, knitting, sports and snowboarding.
Megan's spirit was one of resilience and strength, evident in her long fight against cancer. Even in the face of adversity, she remained a source of love and inspiration to those around her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Megan's name to a cancer research organization of yours, as a testament to her courageous spirit and in hope for a future free from this disease
