Wow. Andy was my cousin and I didn't know him. He didn't go to his grandmother's funeral, so the last time I saw him I must've been maybe 6 or so. He was 7 years older than me and now I am 3 years older then he was when he passed. I only heard he died a couple years ago. I doubt anyone will ever see this, but from everyone's kind words, it sounds like he turned out to be a pretty good guy. It's interesting how our interests were so similar. I ride a bike, was a first responder (EMT), and avid snowboarder (no surfing in Alaska). Sounds like we would've really gotten along. Say hi to Nana for me dude.

My mother and family did not know Andrew personally but heard of him through associates. You see Andrew shared a similar fate and history like my brother. My brother Nabor and Andrew were only 5 days apart and both lost their battle to cancer in the exact same year. My parents attended Andrews funeral and could not find it in them to attend the bbq due to the pain of losing their own son. I was a previous Rancho PD Citizen Patrol Volunteer and understand the Family crede. We are sorry for your loss and know he and my brother are Great Friends in Heaven. My brother was Nabor Mascorro and worked for Turners Outdoorsman since High School and maybe even sold Andrew a gun or two in his lifetime.(smiling)
Remembering them both fondly on this day.

Best of Regards,
Judith formerly Mascorro

Andy, I miss you, bro. I still have the belt you gave me in the academy. It's tight but I keep hoping it will inspire me to lose weight. lol. I never go 10-8 without it. I Love You.

I take my kids to Redhill Park to play and every time we pass the church and get to the park, my kids yell out the window, "We Love you Andyman!" It brings tears to my eyes knowing that they will not know Uncle Andyman more. They are filled with fond memories of him.

Andy was a great friend to hundreds of people. We were all blessed to have him in our lives. He will forever be my "Just Jack"

Love you Andyman!

Dearest Andy,
You are loved, admired and remembered by a huge family of friends, co-workers and your family. I enjoyed having you as one of my "kids" at the academy. Lady States is by your side now as of 1/5/10 and I know the two of you will be my angel on my shoulder.
With love and fond memories,

andy, you know what is in my heart and i know you are looking on us from above. Andy was the guy in academy that could run further and do more push-ups,and inspired me to work harder, the same guy who was always prepared and leant me a vest during practicals because he had an extra one. I didnt visit you as often as i would have liked when you got sick, it was difficult for me to see my friends in pain. Your funeral was a tribute to your wonderful life and to your devotion to your chosen profession. Leaving for work in El Monte was a little bit easier knowing you were working in Rancho keeping my own wife and kids safe. I look back on the pictures of you and I , Matt and Danny, and know someday we will all be together again.

I am at a loss for words. Andy was one of my best friends' even though we kind of lost touch with one another through out the years. It was great being able to have one last drink with him over the summer.
He will truly be missed. I hope that you are at peace and looking over all of us. Thank you for being a great friend, I will see you later.

Today is the day that I will face this head on. As Matt said Andy may not physically be here, but if you just open your hearts you can feel him and hear his voice. Andy changed my entire life for the better, actually he saved me in more ways than one, I have never had a better friend. He really stepped up to the plate with me and was a best friend, the big brother I have never had, and even a dad at times. I will carry you with me always. I love you and miss you so much!!! It doesnt get any better than ANDYMAN!!!! The AndyMan and Codi-Co show!!!!

I don't even know what to say. Andy you were a good friend, since high school. We lost touch for quite awhile, but the friendship was always there. I will never forget getting to have one last hurrah with all the guys and you last summer, it is something I will always treasure. Take care wherever you are my good friend, and know that you will be missed more than ever. Your courage was inspirational, and your memory will always be with me. Think of us as we will think of you, and when you get the chance Andy have one for me, and I'll do the same.

The last 6 days seem to have stood still. Life is not the same without Andyman! I miss his infectious laugh, his caring demeanor, and loving friendship. I will forever remember our "Just Jack." I had the pleasure of having Andyman in my life. Every day has been difficult since his passing, but remembering how many laughs Andy brought and loving memories is what keeps us going. I take comfort in knowing I WILL see Andyman again, and get the "Grand Tour" in heaven. I also know that Andy will be watching over my family and me! God Bless you Andy! And God bless your Mom, Dad, and Brother!
Until we meet again!
Blessed are the Sheepdogs!

I will never forget the talk we had at Garcia's house. A few beers and a whole lot of comforting words of wisdom. Or maybe the other way around. Take care Andy, you will be missed but never forgotten. Thank you Andy.

Andyman's physical being is no longer here. But I find difficulty saying he's gone. I see him everyday. In the most common ways. In the most obscure ways. He influenced me, guided me, and touched me in ways I am still discovering. I am so very grateful God put Andyman in my life. I am more complete having been his friend.

There are so many things I will miss about him. None more than "Just Jack" and his contagious outward belly laugh. He could light up the darkest rooms. You protected the community as well as your friends & family while you were here buddy. I pray you will continue to watch over us all. But I know that prayer is already answered. I love you Andyman.
