Jesus Barraza Negrete

1934 - 2023

January 7, 1934 - May 1, 2023 Jesus "Chuey" Negrete, age 89. of San Bernardino, Ca., passed away May 1, 2023 subsequent to a lengthy illness. Chuey, a life-long resident, attended San Bernardino High School subsequently working for and retiring after 30 years of service from S.B. City Public Services. He was very active in the community, softball was his passion, playing the game and helping kids of all walks be their best. Chuey was never hard to find, find a baseball diamond, an empty field and it was game-on. Like all sporting events once the bragging rights and dust settles, Chuey heads for his favorite place La Mitla restaurant for his favorite food and cold beer. Chuey, (sadly) the last member of his family, was preceded in death by his father Trinidad Negrete, mother Juanita Barazza Negrete, sisters, Paulina Cardenas, Katherine Reyes, and Marcella Rios, and brothers Yesidro B. Negrete, Maximillo B.Negrete, Fidel B.Negrete, Pablino B.Negrete, and Santos B, Negrete. Chuey is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Chuey's life will forever be cherished, a memorial service for Jesus will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 6:30PM at Mt. View Mortuary, 570 East Highland Ave, San Bernardino, Ca 92404.
