Your shining light has dimmed. He had a long and good life and enjoyed every minute. No one wants to see your loved one in pain. John is in loving hands now. He is smiling down on your and watching over the entire clan! Blessings to you Janet, the family and Johns extended family. May he rest in peace.

To John's family and colleagues I extend my sincere sympathy and condolences. Long before John went into a dependency practice, John and I opposed each other many times when I was a deputy district attorney. After I became a judge, I spent over 2 years in juvenile court with John and his partners appearing daily before me. He was a very competent, zealous advocate for his clients and a credit to our profession. I am so sorry for your loss.

My condolences to Janet and the rest of the family. I met John when I joined the Probation Department. He was a supervisor. He and a few others were going to law school at night. I had left law school in SanDiego and he tried to get me to go back. We remained friends for the entire length of my career. He was one of the most dedicated advocates for justice I had known during that time. May you rest in peace John.
