John Williams Obituary

John D. (Johnny) Williams
John D. (Johnny) Williams passed on February 3rd, 2018 at the age of 84. John was born in San Diego, CA on January 19th, 1934. At the age of five, he moved to San Bernardino CA where he resided until high school graduation. Soon after, he moved to Crestline CA and began work as a butcher and started the Mountain Security business. His childhood friend Jack Cramp remained close as if brothers. John served in the Navy Reserves in the late fifties until the early sixties. He later became the mountain area tax assessor for the San Bernardino County and in 1969 became chief Appraiser for San Bernardino county. In 1976 John remarried to Jeannie and the families blended. Jeannie and Johnny were married for 42 years upon his passing. After retirement, they moved to Atascadero for two years as chief appraiser for San Luis Obispo and then came back to San Bernardino to begin their business of real estate appraisal. During this time both John and Jeannie gained great pleasure taking their dogs to homes and hospitals for therapy for the elderly and ill with the PAWS organization. Johnny also restored two of his prize possession cars for participation in many parades and shows in the Inland Empire. The Masonic Lodge of Twin Peaks was his continued passion throughout his life where he served in all capacities including receiving the Hiram award. John is survived by his wife Jeannie, six children, Scot, Brad, Shelley, Teri, Cheryl and Susan, forty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild allowing for his wealth of love. Their residence for the past two years has been Apple Valley, CA where he passed in the comfort of his home with his family by his side.
Services will be held at Mt. View Mortuary & Cemetery 570 E. Highland Ave, San Bernardino, CA starting with a viewing on February 15th from 4 - 8pm, Funeral Service on February 16th at 12 noon, and final resting place will be held at 1:30pm. A reception will follow at Mt. View.
