Kenneth Housman Obituary

KENNETH R. HOUSMAN born July 8, 1947, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on April 18, 2005. His passing from his earthly home to his heavenly home was peaceful. At that moment, he was surrounded by his loving wife, Ruth, Ruth's twin brother, Tim, their sister, Gae, and Ken's very good longtime friend, Rick. During this past year, Ken displayed courage and resolve, along with peace, as he battled his illness. He was at peace knowing that he would be in the presen ce of his Lord when he left this earthly shell. He also knew that he would be seeing many beloved believing family members and friends who had made the journey ahead of him. A memorial in honor of his memory will be held on May 7, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Chapel Camp, 32355 Green Valley Lake Road, Green Valley, California. He is survived by Ruth, his wife of 31 years, his sisters, Joan and Janet, and many loving family members, friends and neighbors whose lives he has touched. In lieu of flowers, a m emorial fund has been set up in Ken's name at Calvary Chapel, P.O. Box 1344, Running Springs.

My condolences to Ken's wife and family. Ken was a wonderful person and I new him best as a police reserve for the many years that he served his community. I have been retired from the P.D. for two and a half years and I was surprised to hear of Ken's early and untimely passing. I'll be seeing you again Ken so clear the way my friend and put in a few good words for me!

Ken was a true and caring gentleman, with a great sense of humor. Rest easy, Ken; the "bad boys" will be still be caught, by those you trained so well.
