Larry Fosdick Obituary

LARRY LYNN FOSDICK Age 82, of Highland, California, passed away on January 13, 2021 in Redlands, California. Larry was born in San Bernardino on July 23, 1938 to Harry E. Fosdick and Dorothy V. Smith. Larry was married for 51 years to Karen Fosdick who passed away in 2009 and Larry then married Judy Miller in 2012. Larry was the owner of Fosdick's Ice Cream and Grinders in San Bernardino for many years and really was a mentor to his employees. In his later years, Larry worked for his brother Denny at Totalplan in Riverside. Larry is survived by his wife Judy Fosdick; daughter Cyndi Saldana; son Craig Fosdick; daughter-in-law Renee Fosdick; son-in-law Jason Saldana; grandchildren Kegan Fosdick, Emilie Fosdick, and Jacob Saldana; 3 week old great-grandson Sonny Gastelum-Fosdick; brother Dennis Fosdick; sister Linda Lee; and Judy's two sons Scott and Tim Miller. Larry enjoyed the simple things in life such as going out to breakfast and watching NFL games. Larry's favorite sport was football and he excelled at playing and coaching. He played high school football at Pacific High School and spent many years coaching son Craig and the teams he played on as well as coaching and sponsoring Little League teams. Larry enjoyed traveling whether in the UK, Australia or traveling in the motorhome across the United States. His favorite trip was to Alaska to watch the bears. Larry enjoyed many things but he loved spending time with his family and great friends and had a special bond with his grandchildren. Larry was loved and will be greatly missed. Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Wow, I just found this. At 14, you hired me to clean you parking lot daily after school. On Saturdays you took me with you to the Mediterranean for breakfast, and i came back and washed the windows. As I grew older, you continually gave me bigger responsibilities. I have never met a man/boss that was more generous. You created my work ethic that comtinues to be mantra. Thank you Larry, you will be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Lived on Golden Ave growing up. He made the best ice cream and grinders. Never once skimped. He was a good man. Always had a smile on his face.

Thank you for letting me drive your Corvette. You sent me to Stater's to get some more bananas for the Del Rosa store. ... Thank you for the job (Sierra Way & 40th, Del Rosa, & subbed at Baseline once or twice), the patience, the kindness, and the best grinders & ice cream anywhere! Give my love to Mrs. (Karen) Fosdick.

Fosdicks , The best grinder and ice cream place in San Bernardino. I knew Larry he always had a smile on his face and he was very kind , Always has time to talk to you . We had grinders there every Friday. All I did was walk in and he knew what I wanted . A pastrami grinder and a blackberry malt . I’m so sorry he’s gone . I have NEVER forgot the good memories from fosdicks or Larry . ❤
