Roberto Ortiz Obituary

March 6, 1941 - June 4, 2022 Roberto Ortiz passed away in the early morning hours of June 4, 2022, at his home in Fontana, California. He was 81. Born and raised in Guatemala City, Guatemala, he received his teaching credential before immigrating to the United States in the 1960s. To provide for his children -- Wanda , Rose , Joseph and Robert , he worked in landscaping, eventually being promoted to superintendent, a position he held for many years, until his retirement in 2007. His spouse, Sheri Ortiz, predeceased him in 2013. With Sheri, Roberto was fortunate enough also to share in the lives of their children Susan O'Donnell, Tamela Scott and Jesse Golem. Roberto is survived by his sisters, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Beloved by his family and many friends, he enjoyed gardening, music, cars, a good joke, and spending time with loved ones. Rosary and Mass are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on December 22,2022, at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in San Clemente. Reception to follow.
