Scott Hoffman Obituary

Scott Hoffman
On Saturday, May 17, 2014, Scott Hoffman, 54, left home for the ultimate adventure, but this time won't be returning to share his epic stories and awe-inspiring photos with us.
One of the most multi-layered humans around, he was a ski patroller, artist, photographer, video producer, art collector, pianist, composer, and an enthusiast of all outdoor pursuits.
"Lokesh," was a spiritual name given to him which means "king of the world," most likely because he craved to experience life all over the world. His photos document Mother Nature at her finest in the Himalayas, Africa, Siberia, China, Thailand, Patagonia, Alaska and North America.
Scott was an inspiration to those who value honesty, authenticity and the value of rawness. He is survived by his companion love, Michelle Kirkhoff, and their dog, Sasha, his brother Greg and sister'n'law Kelly, and their three daughters Kari, Kristi and Emilie; as well as Michelle's four nieces and nephews, Katie, Patrick, Krissy and John.

I remember skiing with Scott, Sasha would run along with us. His most mundane day was still an adventure because when you're with him everything is possible. I am truly honored to have had such great times with Scott.

Michelle, I want you to know how much I enjoyed working with Scott and just talking to him in general, most recently in my office about a month ago. We had a fun conversation about a variety of topics. He was so kind, creative, adventurous, and talented. Hang in there. Jane Dreher
