Of Rialto, CA, passed away on January 29, 2016. He was 75 years old. Born on August 6, 1940 in Pittsburgh, PA, to Mary and Willis Hubbard. Tom was raised in Rock Creek, OH and graduated from Rock Creek High School in 1958. Upon graduating he married Jean Marie Kraus and left to be in the U.S. Marine Corps where he served for 3 years. He worked for Pacific Bell/AT&T for 29 1/2 years, was a life member of Telephone Pioneers and retired in 1992. Tom was an avid outdoorsman, regularly enjoying hunting, fishing, and traveling. A faithful blood donor, Tom gave 11 gallons of blood over his lifetime. Additionally, he and his wife enjoyed round dancing and they square danced with local clubs for more than 30 years. Tom is survived by his wife of 57 1/2 years, Jean; sister Wendy Phillis of Painesville, OH; brother Richard Lynn Hubbard of Rock Creek, OH; daughter Kathy Jean Hubbard (Michael Smith) of Redlands, CA; son Thomas Willis Hubbard II (Janet) of Apple Valley, CA; son-in-law James Makos of Palm Springs, CA and grandchildren Shana Marie Makos of Palm Springs, CA, Dahlton Jean Hubbard and Cohlton Cayce Hubbard, both of Apple Valley, CA. Tom was preceded in death by brother James Hubbard of Rock Creek, OH and daughter Shellee Ann Hubbard Makos of Palm Springs, CA. Services will be held at 11 am on February 23, 2016 at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. A celebration of life will follow at Cowtown Square Dance Center, 15950 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to either the Alzheimer's Association or the American Cancer Society.
