Adell J. Fegley passed away peacefully June 13, 2024, at the Shenandoah Senior Living Community, where she last resided.
Born April 3, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Katie (Craiglow) Hinkle, of Weatherly.
Adell was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She enjoyed music, cooking, baking, traveling and playing games.
She and her late husband, Lewie, raised their daughters in Ashland, lived in Quakake and retired in Lancaster until they moved to Ringtown to spend more time with their family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Fegley, as well as brothers and sisters, Clarence Hinkle, Clyde Hinkle, Ira Hinkle, Mabel Meckes, Noreen Simmons and Alma Neifert.
She leaves behind four sisters-in-law, Catherine Shade, Joan Houser, Rebecca Fegley and Anna Hinkle. Adell also leaves behind two loving daughters, Cynthia Shadle, wife of Roy, and Amelia Mincavage. Those calling her "Grammy Fegley" include Audra Kufro, Kimberly Roulin, wife of Matthew, and Erin Lengner, wife of Chad. Her great-grandchildren brought her much joy. They include Jackson Lengner, Morgan Kyle Lengner, Daniel Roulin and Robert Roulin.
A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. June 21 in Sky-View Memorial Park, Tamaqua. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choosing. If weather is inclement, graveside committal services will be held at Lamar Christ Funeral Home, 31 Mahanoy Ave., Tamaqua; www.lamarchristfuneralhome.com.
