Alma Rushow Obituary

Alma Rushow, 95, of Locustdale, passed away Thursday afternoon at Saint Catherine Medical Center Fountain Springs.

Born in Locustdale, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Lillian Regitz Beckus.

She attended Conyngham Township Schools and was of the Protestant faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Rushow, in August 1977, and a sister, Dorothy Kane, in 1997.

Surviving are two sons, George Rushow, husband of Ann, Schuylkill Haven, and Louis Rushow, husband of Cora, Hatboro; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday from Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland. The Rev. Dana Heckman Beil, pastor of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Ashland, will officiate. Interment will be in Christ Church Cemetery, Fountain Springs. A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service. There will be no evening viewing.

Memorials may be made to Hillside SPCA, Hillside Road, Pottsville, PA 17901.

Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.
