C. Brennan Obituary

C. Charles "Charlie" Brennan Jr., 77, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Thursday at his residence.

Born Aug. 12, 1941, he was a son of the late Claude Charles Sr. and Mary Alice Somers Brennan.

He was the widower of Doris E. Reppert Brennan.

Charlie was a graduate of Schuylkill Haven High School and was employed by the former Agway Petroleum. He was a member of the Anthracite Gun Club, Tremont Clubsters and a volunteer referee for the Schuylkill Haven Midget Football Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and babysitting his grandsons. He could always be found at Josie's, Site's and Bruce Werner's. His children considered him to be the "mayor" of Schuylkill Haven because so many people knew him.

Charlie is survived by his children, Colleen Butler, wife of Tim, Pine Grove, Shannon Stine, Orwigsburg, and Michael Brennan, husband of Jessica, Schuylkill Haven; grandchildren, Gavin, Logan, Kenneth, Jackson, Declan and Greyden; sister, Sandra Spotts, wife of James, Orwigsburg; nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Geschwindt-Stabingas Funeral Home Inc., Schuylkill Haven, with Certified Celebrant Rebecca Devlin officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the service at the funeral home. In honor of his late wife Doris, the family requests donations to Alzheimer's Association, South Central PA Chapter, 3544 N. Progress Ave., Suite 205, Harrisburg, PA 17110. Interment will follow the service at Schuylkill Memorial Park, Schuylkill Haven. To extend online condolences, visit www.gsesfuneralhomes.
