Dolores Sorokach Obituary

Dolores Ann Sorokach, 83, of Owl Road, Cass Twp., passed away Monday, Sept. 19, at her residence surrounded by her family, in the loving care of her daughter, JoeAnn.

Dolores was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Branchdale, a daughter of the late Marie (Wiscount) and Andrew Guidas. She was the widow of Charles Sorokach, who died in 1993.

Dolores was a member of Saint Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Minersville. She was a member of the St. Nicholas Women's Sodality.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Charles, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Charles Sorokach Jr.; a brother, George Guidas; sisters, Marie Nye and Susanne Tobias.

Dolores is survived by a daughter, JoeAnn, wife of Michael Lisowski, and a son, Charles, husband of Dawn Sorokach. Dolores is also survived by sisters, Elizabeth "Babe" Melocheck, twin sister, Dorothy Reider, Arlene Romanowski, Andrea "Roni" Godwin and Antoinette "Toni" Wenner; a brother, Andrew "Butch" Guidas; grandchildren, Mike Lisowski and Tiffany, Charlene, wife of Tyler Witmer, Becky Sorokach, Kevin Sorokach and fiancée, Elena; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Cole Witmer, Nathan and Evan Pelachick, Emily and Owen Sorokach, Whitten Sorokach; as well as a former daughter-in-law, Kari, and granddaughter-in-law, Diana Sorokach.

All services are private at the convenience of family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Nicholas Cemetery Fund. Interment is at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery. Mahal-Ritzel Funeral Home Inc., Minersville, is entrusted with the arrangements.
