Doris Lorraine Schroding, 87, of Hatfield, formerly of Tamaqua, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in Hatfield.
Born Dec. 4, 1933, in West Mahanoy Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Schaller) Hinkle.
She worked many years as office administrator for Landsdale Borough.
Doris was a member of St. Peter Union Church, Tamaqua.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles "Bud" Schroding, in 2016, and a brother, Ronald Hinkle, in 2006.
She was the loving mother of two sons, Charles Schroding Jr. and his wife, Carol, and Mark Schroding and his wife, Rose; two daughters, Lynne E. Bridi and her husband, Michael, and Meribeth Schroding-Yelito and her husband, Stanley; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair, PA 17970. The Rev. Virginia Heimer will officiate. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Saint Clair. Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Doris, was more then a neighbor she was our constant. We lived across the street from 1961 till 2001. Our families were one. Vacations, yard sales, picnics, weddings, births and deaths. I will never forget her! My love and sympathy to the family
