Edith Moyer Obituary
Edith C. Moyer, 90, of Schuylkill Haven, passed away Friday, April 23, at Seton Manor, Orwigsburg.
Born Feb. 16, 1931, in Schuylkill Haven, she was a daughter of the late Roland & Minnie (Schafer) Galehoff.
She was the widow of George Moyer, who passed away in 1986.
In addition to her parents and husband, Edie was also preceded in death by her daughter, Beverly Lengle; brother, Roland Galehoff; sister, Mildred Miller.
She was a graduate of Cressona High School.
Edie was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedensburg.
She had been formerly employed by Argo textile factory as a seamstress.
Edie is survived by her granddaughter, Rebecca Kalinich and husband, Alex, and son-in-law, Richard N. Lengle, all of Schuylkill Haven.
Celebration of Life funeral service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 28, at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Friedensburg, with Pastor Peggy Sue Pfeffer officiating. A public viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Interment will follow at Summer Hill Cemetery, Auburn. At the family's request, memorial donations in Edie's memory may be forwarded to St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 86, 24 Church Road, Friedensburg, PA 17933.
