I was sad, very sad, to hear of her passing! :-( A 1974 grad of MAHS, Fannie provided sooooooo many great times and memories for me and many others growing up in Minersville! Will always remember the .25 draft beers, a Quarter for the juke box, shooting darts until 2AM, shots of Jack at the bar, helping her tend bar when things got too busy, Yuengling Quarts to go in brown paper bags, all the ‘tomatoes’ (that’s what she called all the young babes!)……and anyone remember this?.....YQJCYAQFTJ.....GREAT MEMORIES and good stuff!!! OOOOHHHHHH the stories I could tell from life at Fannie’s Bar!!!! Fannie was the best!!! Cheers and ‘Puksht’ to Fannie!! I’ll do a shot of boilo and chase it with a Yuengling in her honor! With loving memories of Fannie, and heartfelt sympathy to her many friends and family....

Some of my most favorite memories of my youth revolve around Fannie and her business. she was a wonderful woamn who always had a smile, a joke or a story. we used ot laugh when she would talk about the "bear". When her Christmas card came back this year,I knew something was wrong but I did not know it was this serious. She will be in my thoughts and prayers always. My sympathy goes out to your family in this time of loss.

Dear Matt and Family,
We were saddened to learn of your grandmother's passing. She was one special lady, an icon to many Her bar was legendary, but not as much as Fannie, the businesswoman, neighbor and loved one.
My Dad (Big Jim) used to walk up to her place for a soda and on occasion, I would go with him. It as so much fun to just listen to their stories. What a great memory. I wish I could turn back time and be there again or had just a few more of those kinds of visits.
She's touched many peoples lives in different ways, I just wanted to share mine with you.
May she live on in our memories and hearts forever.
With deepest sympathies,

Mrs. Whit, Missy, Mike and Fannie's countless friends, loved ones and family members:

I think for a large portion of years I spent more time around Fannie that just about anyone else in my life. Going to see her was the same feeling you would get in your own home. She had a smile for anyone and knew everyone by name. If the names escaped her, she would ask one of us "who is that tomato or young lad". When my dad passed away (22 years ago) I went for a drive and ended up @ Fannie's. She sat with me, holding my hand for hours. She was one of a kind, she was genuine and I cherish the times I spent in her presence. In Fannie's honor, I type this YQJCYAQFTJB...all of her loved ones (which there are so many) will know that stands for YOUR QUESTION JUST COST YOU A QUARTER FOR THE JUKEBOX.

Thank you for sharing this incredible woman with me. God Bless!

Dearest Fannie.
No one will ever know how much you will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing you. I will be able to keep the great memories I have of you untill I see you again. These memories will always be shared by the gang of us who laughed together ,cried together, drank together, went up to New York together and almost killed the carriage horse. Yes Fannie even New York got to know you. For all the kind and generous things you have done in your lifetime we will always be greatfull. To know you was to love you and we all did. Untill we see you again Fannie God Bless. Thinking of you will always bring a smile to my face and a tear to my eye. Fannie you were the best. "SIMPLY THE BEST"
