Geoff and I went to Birmingham high school together in Van Nuys. In 1959, Volleyball became a named sport of competition between schools throughout the Los Angeles Unified School District. Teams consisted of six (6) men and after numerous matches, our team became the first ever L.A. City Champions in Volleyball. Rest in piece my old friend. Fond memories...
