George Edward Hysock, 76, of Shenandoah, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 10, at Lehigh Valley Hospital–Schuylkill E. Norwegian Street, Pottsville.
Born Oct. 23, 1946, in Shenandoah, he was a son of the late Michael and Mary (McCord) Hysock.
Growing up, George attended the former J.W. Cooper High School in Shenandoah.
He was a veteran of the Marine Corps.
He then worked as a truck driver in the beverage delivery business for many years.
George loved going for walks with his dog, Flower. He was a fan of western movies and antique cars.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert, Michael and Joseph, and two sisters, Debbie and Nancy.
Surviving family includes two brothers, William and James Hysock; three sisters, Theresa Wierzalis, Mary Pusavage and Alice Jarzinko; along with nieces and nephews.
Graveside services with military honors will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
