Giorgio Vetrano Obituary
Born in Campofiorito, Italy, May 6, 1934, he was a son of the late Antonino and Domenica Cannella Vetrano.
He was the co-owner of the former Giorgio Restaurant, Frackville, from 1972-2005.
Giorgio was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Frackville.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lucia Cannuscio Vetrano.
Surviving are a daughter, Mimma Vetrano, Frackville; three sons, Antonino Vetrano and his wife, Connie, Harrisburg, Francesco Vetrano and his wife, Sharon, Saint Clair, and Giorgio Vetrano and his wife, Mary Lee, Atlanta, Ga.; a grandson, Francesco Vetrano; two granddaughters, Lucia and Gabrielle Vetrano; six sisters, Nina, Gina, Lucia, Giuseppina, Margarita and Rita; nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Foursquare Gospel Church, 2300 Mahantongo St., Pottsville. The Rev. David Poissant will officiate. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Frackville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Foursquare Gospel Church Memorial Fund. Nice Hart Funeral Home Inc., Frackville, is in charge of arrangements. Dearest Vetrano Family, I am so sorry for your loss. As a teen in the 70's, our group frequented his restaurant in Frackville often....it was our hang out. He was a sweet man, and had allot of patience with us. We respected him, and always appreciated his kindness. God Bless. Kathie Barrett
