Gloria A. Berdanier, 85, of Arnots Addition, Saint Clair, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born July 22, 1938, in Saint Clair, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Martha (Stefansky) Prosper.
A 1956 graduate of Saint Clair Area High School, Gloria went on to spend her life dedicated to her family and her faith. A devoted Mom, BaBa, Chuch and Super BaBa, she enjoyed spending her time with her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews and great-grandson.
She was a lifelong and loyal member of St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church.
Gloria was a Phillies Phanatic, a lover of the Food Network and EWTN. Her favorite pastime was watching her children and grandchildren's sporting events and extracurricular activities.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene "Birdie"; four brothers, Joseph, Francis "Chippy," James "Cookie" and David; and an infant sister, Frances.
Surviving are two daughters, Gloria Brensinger (Randy), Schuylkill Haven, and Michele Jones (Donald), Barnesville; son, Gene (Maureen), Pottsville; grandchildren, Rochelle Jones (Brendan), Marcella Jones and Jessica Jones (Dylan); Jaimani; great-grandson, Declan; sister-in-law, Janet Prosper; nieces, Danielle Brennan (Tom) and Cheryl Prosper; nephew, David Prosper; great-nieces, Lauren and Emma; great-nephew, Ethan; and many other surviving relatives and loved ones.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 16, from St. Clare of Assisi Roman Catholic Church, 250 E. Hancock St., Saint Clair, with Monsignor William Glosser officiating. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Clare of Assisi Memorial Fund or The Nativity Preservation Support Foundation (NPSF): P.O. Box 82, Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be in Queen of the Universe Cemetery, Saint Clair. Funeral services are entrusted to Bruce T. Hart Funeral Home, 110 N. Second St., Saint Clair.
