Helen Pastue Obituary

Helen C. Pastue, 85, of 122 N. Center St., Frackville, died Wednesday at Schuylkill Medical Center-East Norwegian Street.
Born in Shenandoah, June 22, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Suravicz Komar. She was educated in the Shenandoah area public schools.
She was a retired garment worker, a nurse's aide at Georgetown and George Washington hospitals in Washington, D.C., and recently a cook's helper at Broad Mountain Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Frackville.
She was a member of Amalgamated Garment Workers Union. Helen was a beloved mother and wife and cared very much about her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Pastue, in 1979, and a brother, Eugene Komar.
Surviving are a son, John Pastue, at home; a daughter, Mary Ann, wife of Terry Kuczynski, Frackville; two brothers, Joseph Komar, New Jersey, and Henry Komar, West Hazleton; nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Baptist Polish National Catholic Church, Frackville, with the Rev. Robert Plichta as the celebrant. Interment will follow in St. John's Ukrainian Cemetery, Frackville. Oravtiz Home for Funerals Inc., Shenandoah, is in charge of arrangements.

Your mother was blessed to have children that took such great care of her. I know I would ask John everyday how mom is and he was always so proud to talk of her. If your family should need anything dont be afraid to ask. May god bless you all.
